Call For Papers NZAP Conference Nelson 9-12 March 2017

Te Kainga te Ukaipo – Promise of Home 9-12 March 2017

Founders Park and Whakatu Marae, Nelson

Kia ora koutou

NZAP members love giving presentations and conferring with colleagues. So let us know asap if you’ve been thinking about some kind of presentation in line with this theme.

We’d like a few paragraphs indicating:
• Title
• Content
• How you’d like to do it (paper, workshop style, poster presentation or other) • Whether numbers would be limited or not

• How much time you would like. See below* • Any audio-visual requirements

With this early information the organisers will have one last opportunity to mould the time slots available and consider thematic groupings etc. Please note that we do not expect to be able to accommodate all offerings and will as a team carefully select papers according to suitability, expected interest, timing and other requirements such as types of rooms available. Some papers may be presented in the wharenui at Whakatu Marae.

* Most presentations including discussion time are expected to be accomplished in a one hour space which includes time for discussion. Please give consideration to compressing your ideas into a “Snapshot” presentation utilising 25 minutes, including discussion, and let us know if this is a workable option for you. This will enable us to include more papers. If you want to provide a poster presentation we will be happy to accommodate these.

For those of you who are super organised and ready to give finalised abstracts please note these should be no more than 200 words. Separately, please include a short bio. about you, the writer or writers. Some general guidelines are offered below for organising material and style of writing up. We may ask for revisions to bring written presentations a little more into line with these recommendations.

Given the theme, there will be a stream of papers given over to the Children and Adolescent group, so we look forward to hearing from people in this group.

In keeping with modern conference practice here and overseas there is no registration fee reduction for papers and no reduction in other related costs offered for being a presenter at the NZAP Conference unless you are a designated keynote speaker.

9 December 2016 Call for papers closes.
15 January 2017 Notification of acceptance.

All accepted papers will be considered to appear in a forthcoming issue of Ata. Please send your offerings to both Geoffrey and Susan
