The Canterbury Branch has 46 members currently. We meet regularly on the second Thursday of each month. These meetings are reasonably well attended with numbers ranging from ten to twenty people. We have a time of socialising together for the first part of the meeting, as many people come straight from work. We have an allocated time for Branch business and discussions on Association issues. During this time we have been able to meet with prospective members and provide a time for getting to know each other. We have thought-provoking presentations which usually last for about one hour and our meetings finish by 8.30 pm. We have seven members on our Executive committee. We have a newsletter that is distributed every month. Our commitment to progressing and maintaining our bicultural nature is important. We would like to develop a process around appropriate cultural supervision and will continue to work on this.
