Te Runaanga o Waka Oranga would like to extend a warm welcome to all our members to attend our annual
Hui-a-Tau on Saturday 29 September 2012
Venue: Whaiora Marae 14 Otara Road, Otara
Date: Saturday 29 – Sunday 30 September
Powhiri: 9am

All members are encouraged to stay over or return on Sunday for our AGM. Please bring bedding, towels and toiletries if you intend to stay overnight.The Hui-a-tau will focus on the following members presenting themselves for full NZAP membership.

Margaret Poutu Morice Ngati Porou, Wiremu Woodard – Tuhoe
Alayne Hall Ngati Whatua/Te Rarawa/Tainui, Toni Shepherd – Kai Tahu

This event is special in that the presenting members will be engaging membership through a collective and uniquely Māori process. This is a new and exciting development for Waka Oranga and NZAP who have worked
collaboratively and bi-culturally to support the creation of Te Ara Māori – A Māori Pathway to Membership. We look forward to sharing this significant historic occasion with whanau friends and colleagues followed by a special
hakari (feast) upon completion.Hakaari: 7pm. Please consider an appropriate koha (donation) to assist with the event or alternatively the suggested guide below.
