Welcome to our 2 day Public Wananga*
This is a one off opportunity that is open for all who are enthusiastic to learn from a Tohunga (Maori Priest) of the old traditional faith. Matua very rarely opens Wananga to the public as he comes from an ancient pre-colonial order, however he has consented to come to Otautahi (Christchurch) to teach these classes over the 2 day period to those who are willing and wanting to learn. It is a great privilege to Welcome Matua and his Tohunga graduates who are here to assist him throughout this Wananga.
Matua is a Tohunga Taputapu, Acknowledged leader for our roopu “Nga Tohunga O Nga Hau E Wha”.
Matua has trained many students throughout Aotearoa, those who have graduated and become leaders in their areas while continuing the teachings handed down from our Tohunga Ariki Taputapu.
Whare Hauora Health & Well-being clinics have also been established with the use of Traditional Rongoa Maori (Maori Medicine) and Traditional Healing Practices in Auckland, Waipukurau, Wellington & Christchurch.
The Knowledge Matua carries within is Far & Beyond
Nga mihi
